The ticket for Stonewall Chamber Bingo Night costs $20, and you're also asked to bring a $20 raffle prize. That gets you one bingo card plus food and drinks on Friday, November 13, at 6:30 p.m. in the Chamber building at 250 Peach Street.
The rest of the east end's holiday calendar works much the same way. Between Halloween and New Year's, most events in Stonewall, at LBJ State Park, and down the road in Luckenbach expect you to take part. You might enter a yard, wrap toys, dip candles, or dance. You won't find one big weekend that takes over the town. The calendar runs as a string of small dates, and many of them fall on weeknights.
October Warms Up Down the Road
Fall gets going in Luckenbach before Stonewall's own calendar fills up. The Lucky Rod Car Show is Saturday, October 10, at 10 a.m. Admission is $5 per person, children 12 and under get in free, and registering a vehicle costs $45. That gives you two ways to go: walk the rows, or bring a car and be one of the rows.
Six days later, LBJ State Park holds its Not-so-Haunted House Tour on Friday, October 16, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The tour is free, but you have to register online. It's capped at 20 people and recommended for ages 12 and up. With only 20 spots, it fills by sign-up, and walking in won't work.
On October 31, Luckenbach has a free Halloween dance with Gus Clark starting at 7 p.m.
November Starts at the Chamber Building
Bingo Night on November 13 is the first Chamber event of the season, and the raffle shows how it works. The prize table is stocked by the people who come. Each $20 prize from a guest becomes something someone else can win.
The next day is a full Saturday. Luckenbach holds its Fall Market and Closet Cleanout on November 14 at 9 a.m. That evening at 5 p.m., Meierstone Vineyards in Stonewall serves a five-course Wild Game Dinner. Chefs Jackson and Alicia are cooking alongside winemaker Krystal Patel, and the menu lists suckling pig roast, alligator, duck, venison, and dessert. Tickets are $165, or $150 for members, gratuity included. The Stonewall Chamber lists the dinner on its own calendar, right next to bingo and the parade.
Thanksgiving week centers on Luckenbach's dance hall. Here are the three nights in a row:
| Date | Show | Listed Price |
|---|---|---|
| Wed., Nov. 25, 7 p.m. | Thanksgiving Ball with Dale Watson & His Lonestars | $24.10 per person, Dancehall general admission |
| Fri., Nov. 27, 7 p.m. | Presley Haile, Madelyn Griffith + Lemongrass | $18.33 per person |
| Sat., Nov. 28, 7 p.m. | Kyle Park + Logan Papp | $29.88 per person |
The Thanksgiving Ball is the night before the holiday, so it works for anyone who has family arriving early and wants somewhere to take them. Luckenbach's ticket pages leave the year off these listings, along with the Fall Market and the Christmas Bazaar below. The weekdays shown match the 2026 calendar, but confirm with Luckenbach before you buy.
That Saturday morning, November 28, LBJ State Park holds Deck the Halls from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sauer-Beckmann Living History Farm. Kids and adults make holiday crafts from local cedar and popcorn and try candle dipping. It's free. You could easily spend the morning making cedar garland at the farm and the evening dancing in Luckenbach.
December Moves to the Front Yard
The first weekend of December belongs to Luckenbach. The 9th Annual Christmas Bazaar + Tumbleweed Hill opens Saturday, December 5, at 11 a.m. It's a free family event with Santa photos, vendors, and a Christmas show.
Stonewall's biggest night comes midweek. The Stonewall Christmas Parade is Wednesday, December 9, and starts at 6:30 p.m. It follows the Peach Jamboree Parade Route, and parade entries line up at the gate at Peach Street and St. Francis. If you've stood along the route in June for the Jamboree, you already know where to stand in December. The Stonewall Chamber calendar lists the Light the Night Christmas Parade Weekend for December 4 through 6, and that weekend is tied to Fredericksburg's Light the Night parade. Stonewall's parade falls on a different night entirely, so nobody has to choose between them.
Next is the event that asks the most of the people who live here. Beleuchten Stonewall, the Chamber's Christmas yard-decoration contest, is open to homes within five miles of the Chamber. To enter, email your address by December 11. Judging is Sunday, December 13, and prizes are awarded. Five miles from Peach Street covers a lot of ground, so plenty of homes on ranch roads and along the 290 corridor can enter, not only houses in town.
The Chamber's last event of the year is the Toy Drive Wrapping Party on Saturday, December 19, at 1 p.m. in the Chamber building at 250 Peach Street. The Vineyard Ridge Bible Study Group is bringing snacks and drinks. Guests are asked to bring scissors. The listing doesn't mention a fee.
The Tree Lighting Belongs to the State Park
If you're looking for a tree lighting, you'll find it at LBJ State Park, not at the Chamber parade. The 57th Annual Tree Lighting is Sunday, December 20, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Park staff run it at the State Park Visitor Center and Park Headquarters. The evening includes carolers, a live nativity, Santa, and refreshments, and at dusk the Sauer-Beckmann Farm is lit by lamps for visitors. The 2026 listing shows no fee.
Fifty-seven years means a lot of local families have made this a holiday habit. It also brings the season back to the same farm where Deck the Halls happens in late November, so the cedar crafts and the lamp-lit evening take place on the same grounds about three weeks apart.
Out-of-town guests usually ask about the LBJ Ranch across the river, so here's where things stand. The ranch driving tour is free and self-guided. Pick up a permit at the LBJ State Park and Historic Site Visitor Center, 199 State Park Road 52. Permits are handed out from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m., the entrance gate is open 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the exit gate closes at 5 p.m. The Texas White House complex is still closed while rehabilitation continues, and the park says no formal programs are running there. The ranch and visitor center close on Thanksgiving, November 26, on Christmas Day, and on New Year's Day, January 1, 2027. If family arrives for Thanksgiving, do the drive on Wednesday or Friday.

What's Changing Along the Corridor
US 290 through Stonewall now has more places to taste wine, and more are on the way. Acquired Taste Wines announced in June that it would open on the 290 Wine Trail, featuring several labels at launch, including Float Wines, The Campaign Wines, and Heart Break Wines. Its contact page lists 239 Miracle Mile, Suite O, with hours Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and appointments Monday through Wednesday.
Down the road, Napa Valley wine brand THE DEBATE is building a tasting room and event space in Stonewall, with Tisdale Construction handling the build. The Fredericksburg Standard reported that the company plans to make Texas wines from Hill Country fruit, team up with regional restaurants, and take part in local wine events. General Manager Todd Kerlin told the paper the goal is "to build one that belongs to this place and the people in it." The company expects to open in spring 2027 and says membership and event details will come closer to opening. If it opens on time, next year's calendar will have one more Stonewall venue on it.
Event times and ticket details can change, so check each organizer's listing before you head out.
Reata Ranch Realty works with families across Gillespie County, from Peach Street to the ranch roads well past the five-mile contest line. If you're thinking about a home or acreage on the east end of the county, we'd be glad to show you around Stonewall. Contact us.
