My fondest memories growing up were summers visiting my grandparents and extended family in Fredericksburg. Five generations of my family have lived here. Having grown up in a military family and moving frequently, it meant a lot to me to share these times with family here in town. This is a town that looks after one another, has deep traditional roots and just good, solid people.
 
After attending the University of Texas and graduating from nursing school, I worked for 12 years in critical care nursing. I retired from nursing to stay home and raise my children. Not one to sit still, I started a home-based business during this time doing design and home décor, sewing everything myself. After moving to Fredericksburg, I was a buyer at a local home décor store on Main St for several years. In addition to getting my real estate license in 2004, I opened my own home décor store, Abella Home, on Main St.
 
After 10 years in the retail business, I closed my store to concentrate on real estate full time.I’ve been involved in the design process of several custom-built homes along with owning my own home décor store. I feel my background gives me an edge with staging homes and assisting in the purchase of homes that may need some updating or renovations. I know this area well, having been involved in the sale of residential properties, small acreage lots to large ranches.
 
I have been a licensed NAR® professional since 2004. I love working with people and each opportunity to work with someone is an opportunity to develop a lasting friendship. I believe communication, knowledge, honesty and integrity are essential in every real estate transaction.
